Ottawa Budget Hotel

As the capitol of Canada Ottawa has its share of 4 and 5 star hotels. But when you are looking for budget hotel are you looking at mission impossible? Not at all, there are some really interesting budget hotels in Ottawa and here are just a few of them

The Business Inn

180 Maclaren St

613) 232-1121

The Business Inn is just that, a business centered all suite hotel with plenty of room for business visitors to spread out. Rooms come equipped with a large desk, full kitchen, sofa, Wi-Fi and if you don’t have your lap top along there is a computer and printer in every suite. You can expect a good night’s sleep and all the amenities that you would expect in a much more expensive hotel. You even get a Continental breakfast in the morning. In the evening you can dine in their restaurant or do takeout and eat in your suite. You can have all of this for prices hovering around $100 Canadian. Though this has the business hotel it is also a great place for a family pleasure vacation.

Econo Lodge Downtown

475 Rideau St

(613) 789-3781

This is more of a motel than a hotel but along with that comes free parking and downtown that is not something to take lightly. Location is definitely also a plus, it is within walking distance of the Rideau Canal and the Parliament Building. Rooms come equipped with satellite TV; free Wi-Fi, free continental breakfast and a comfortable bed. You have the option of getting an upgrade that will include a fridge and a jetted tub if you are willing to spend a little more than the very basic rate. The basic rate is very economical running from $72 to about $90. The jetted tub runs about $125. When it comes to reasonable and comfortable accommodations the Econo Lodge has a lot going for it.

Holiday Inn Express and Suites

1 800 423 0908

This is a new hotel, and it is everything that you could want in a hotel. It has large rooms, gorgeous white bedding, an indoor swimming pool, the holiday inn express business center, free daily newspaper and the Holiday Inn Express free breakfast which includes bagels, muffins, eggs, yogurt, cereal and much more. Your room will have a large desk, comfortable chairs for relaxing and enough room to stretch out. Bathrooms are large and the vanity is located outside that bathroom. There are plenty of amenities. If you want to watch TV you will have plenty of satellite channels, rooms come equipped with Wi-Fi and a coffee maker. Prices are a little higher than the other two but this is a new hotel and a great breakfast. The location is near the airport so the drive into downtown is a bit of an issue

These are just a few of the budget hotels that Ottawa has to offer. There is enough variety of style and location to fit any visitors whether tourist or business traveler.
