Hotel Reviews Radisson Sas Park Lane Antwerp

Radisson Blu

Located near the diamond district and the rail station this five star hotel has a lot going for it. What puts it a level above the others is the dedicated staff. At every opportunity the staff offered service far above what was expected. From the bellman to the concierge to the maitre de everyone treats you like a welcome guest and makes it their special job to make your trip perfect. I can’t say enough nice things about every one of them.

The hotel itself is lovely. It overlooks the Stadpark and is a little outside the center. If I have any criticism it would be the location. It is not close to the trolley and it would be quite a hike to walk anywhere. We did walk back from the art museum and we were pretty well exhausted by the time we got back. We decided that taking a cab was the best option and the hotel was glad to call one for us.

The rooms here are luxurious and spacious. Our room was bright, painted in soothing colors and very clean. There was a lot of wood, a minibar, two chairs for reading and relaxing, and a safe. We had a king size bed which was very comfortable.

The bathroom was large and bright with a great tub for soaking. After a tough day on our feet I was glad to be able to use the amenities that were offered.

The doors operated with a card and the card had to be placed in the slot in order to keep the lights on in the room. This is so uniquely European, at least I have never come across it in the states. When it comes to energy conservation it is an excellent idea.

The hotel offers free WiFi as well as a business center if you need to print something. It also has a swimming pool, whirlpool. Jacuzzi, fitness center, Turkish bath, sauna and solarium. This is the ultimate in luxury after a hard day of touring.

Longchamps Restaurant offers excellent evening meals. We very much enjoyed our meal there. Breakfast was not included in our rate. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet. Like most hotel breakfast buffets it is way over priced. We did have it the first morning but there are limits to what we are willing to pay for eggs and toast.

The hotel has its own parking garage. You can self park or valet. This is an excellent hotel and I would not hesitate to come here again.
