Guide to Entertainment and Nightlife in Whistler British Columbia

Whistler’s hotspots and nightlife are as exceptional as everything else at this world class premier Canadian resort. No matter what you are in the mood for, whether it be enjoying relaxed entertainment while mellowing out to a martini, or putting on your dancing shoes and grooving to pulsating beats, there’s a place in Whistler’s sophisticated nightlife scene for everyone.

After the sun sets, the nightlife rises at Whistler’s top ten, long standing and entertaining establishment, frequented by both locals and tourists alike.

GARFINCKELS- Whistler’s largest nightclub with live concerts, VIP hosts, and table service. The scene is so popular, that to ensure entry into Whistler’s wildest weekend hangout, be sure to place a reservaton. The party kicks off with Happy Whistler Thursday, and finishes with Punk Night on SUnday.

TOMMY AFRICA’S- A veteran in the entertainment scene, Tommy Afria’s nightclub has been around since 1988. Ranked and reviewed as an excellent dancing club by Pique Newsmagazine, Tommy Africa’s is the first Whistler club to feature go-go dancers and DJ’s imported straight from Europe.

MAXX FISH- Another hot nightspot, Maxx Fish features plush booths, VIP lounges, HD screens, the best light show in Whistler, along with a tasty tapas kitchen. Epic Wednesdays is particularly exceptional, with $4.00 Coronas.

THE SAVAGE BEAGLE- A hot, year round club known for freshly squeezed martinis from their Fresh Seasonal Signature Hand Crafted Cocktail list, cold beer and famous Canadian DJ’s. Choose between the lounge and cigar room upstairs, or wind and grind downstairs on the dance floor.

MALLARD LOUNGE AND TERRACE- Serving westcoast Canadian cuisine and drinks like the Godet Chocolate Liquer, the Mallard Lounge is the perfect casual place to unwind on leather couches in the Spirits Room while sipping Scotch. A great place with jazz piano music and cigar room.

DUBH LINN GATE- Whistler’s only Irish pub, playing live Celtic music and first Irish 20 oz pints available at 9am. With patios that hold over 100 partiers, enjoy your apres-ski alcohol on 100% Irish furniture, shipped directly to Whistler’s Gate from Dubh Linn.

GLC (GARIBALDI LIFT CO, BAR AND GRILL)- A sophisticated lounge, club and restaurant at the base of Whistler Mountain, the GLC manager describes his food menu as ‘epicurean hedonism.’ Featuring three mountain side patios, the latest ski, snowboard, muaic videos and lots of live bands, this affordable place attracts Whistler’s most relaxed partygoers.

LAKESIDE- A great apres ski hangout, the Lakeside restaurant and pub offers personally prepared martinis served in heated seats next a huge, heated granite fireplace. A nice place to veg out with friends, while enjoying all of your favorite spirits, beer and wine.

CRYSTAL LOUNGE- Lounge and laze around at the lounge, while munching on 15 cent wings every day from 4-7, in front of local Whistler bands. The perfect place to mingle with friends and locals.

BLACK’S PUB- One of Whistler’s oldest establishments, The Black Pub has the widest selection of beers in the town, with over 90 worldwide brands. Great mountain scenery and large patio with tons of locals make the ambiance casually Canadian.
