The Comfort Inn is located on a very busy street. Traffic is heavy and it can be a little awkward to find and pull into the driveway. It is semi hidden behind some stores but keep looking it is worth finding. The front desk staff is very helpful and even remembered my name when we checked in. The lobby is tiny but it is adjacent to their beautiful indoor pool area. It is one of the nicest I have seen in a long time and includes not only a very nice size, pool but also a hot tub. There are tables and chairs around the perimeter so that you can sit and relax while the kids enjoy their swim. There is coffee available in the lobby.
Off to the right is the breakfast room. Monday-Friday 5-7 there is a managers reception. Fresh pizza, subs, water and beer was available. This was a very nice surprise and the pizza was more than just acceptable and offered in 5 or 6 different varieties.
Breakfast is typical of this type of hotel, cereal, oatmeal, bagels and toast and make your own waffles. There is juice and coffee and some fresh fruit and yogurt. Nothing fancy but the sausage and gravy with biscuits was unexpected and the muffins quite good. It is included in the room price.
The rooms come in king or two doubles. The mattresses are on the soft side but the bedding was all clean and there were four pillows on both beds. There is a recliner and a light in the corner of the room which is perfect for reading or working on your computer. Speaking of computers there is complimentary WiFi in the rooms as well as a very nice business center right off of the breakfast room.
There is a desk in the room where you can connect to high speed Internet if you don’t have wireless and it also makes a great place to set up your office or items that might need to be recharged overnight.
Bring along your own drinks and microwave popcorn because the room comes equipped with both a mini fridge and a microwave. The TV is large and while not a flat screen was remote controlled and offered plenty of channels to choose from.
The bathroom is small but the sink is located outside of it and comes with a variety of amenities, if you happen to have forgotten any necessities check with the desk, they have complimentary ones such as toothpaste and brushes, etc.
There isn’t a closed closet but there is an open one to put any of your luggage. The colors in the room are warm and neutrals, in gold and red tones. There is a single cup coffee maker and enough coffee for you to have 2 cups of decaf and two of regular.
There are vending machines available and more important a washer and a dryer.
This is a very comfortable hotel and offers very good value for your dollar. There are special rates available, be sure to ask about AAA and AARP. There are many restaurants close by to eat dinner in, there is a Red Lobster just across the street just to mention one.
